Daniel DeMarte has served as president of Jamestown Community College since August 2018. He was previously the executive vice president for academic and student affairs at Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, VA, and also held leadership and administrative positions at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Macomb Community College, and Genesee Community College. Dr. DeMarte has 30 years of experience in community colleges, and holds a doctorate from North Carolina State University, and a master’s and undergraduate degrees from the State University of New York. He began his college education at the Community College of the Air Force while serving on active duty.

Interim Vice President of Finance & Operations: Kathleen Dennison | 716.388.1030

Kathleen Dennison headshot

Kathleen Dennison was appointed Interim Vice President of Finance & Operations in June 2024. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight and direction of all financial activities; buildings and grounds; campus safety and security; and technology. Immediately preceding her appointment, she served the college as an adjunct professor of financial and managerial accounting. Ms. Dennison has over 30 years of financial management experience in both the public and private sectors and is a current and former business owner. She holds a master’s degree in professional services/business administration from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from Claremont McKenna College.

Vice President of Workforce Development: Holger Ekanger | 716.338.1332

Holger Ekanger joined JCC in May 2019 as the vice president for workforce development. With 26 years of experience in community colleges, he previously held leadership roles at Macomb Community College and Ivy Tech Community College. Mr. Ekanger holds a master’s degree from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. He is a military veteran having served in the Norwegian Armed Forces and in international peacekeeping operations.

Executive Director of Cattaraugus County Campus: Paula Snyder | 716.376.7580

Paula Snyder is the executive director of the Cattaraugus County Campus of JCC, overseeing campus operations in Olean. She has previously served as the campus nurse from 1992 until 2005, at which time she was appointed director of college health services. Ms. Snyder has worked 43 years as a nurse in fields of intensive care, home care, and hospice before coming to JCC. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh and has held a number of community organization and elected public offices in Olean and Cattaraugus County.

Nicolette Riczker became the director of human resources at JCC in June 2015 and has served as executive director of human resources and chief diversity officer since September 2019. Prior to coming to JCC, Ms. Riczker spent 25 years working for The Resource Center, a non-profit serving individuals with disabilities in Chautauqua County, with 20 of those years spent working in a variety of positions in human resources. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY at Buffalo and a master’s degree in human resources management from Stony Brook University.

Maria Kindberg has served as executive director of the JCC Foundation since August 2020. Prior to joining the foundation, Ms. Kindberg served the college as dean of Arts, Humanities, and Health Sciences; director of College Connections, the college’s concurrent enrollment program; and project manager. She received a master’s degree in English from SUNY Fredonia, teaching certification from St. Bonaventure University, and a bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy from SUNY Geneseo.
